Homich closing in on 1,000 points
Elisha Homich already became the top female scorer at Ludlow High and now the classy forward is closing in on another milestone: 1,000 career points.
Homich and the Lady Lions are at Amherst this evening. The senior needs just 15 tonight after scoring 21 against Chicopee Comprehensive and 16 versus Agawam. Ludlow has won three straight games after the loss to East Longmeadow.
I will be at the game tonight in Amherst and will update the blog after the game. Keep in mind that Ludlow hosts Holyoke Tuesday night and accomplishing the milestone at home would also be special. That said, this game is very important to Ludlow, which is 12-3 overall and 4-2 in the Suburban League. Amherst has been surging with the return of Alyssa Leonard and the Hurricanes are 8-8 and 2-2 in the leauge. Amherst has not qualified for the playoffs yet.
